February 27, 2001 - I worked some overtime last week and I sure have been feeling fatigued lately. I hope it's just work related. I talked with Dave this morning and we're starting to make plans for the Kite Festival next summer at Long Beach. We plan to be there for 3-4 days and I'm pretty excited to go this year. Mary Ann and I are hoping to do the Experience Music Project this weekend. We were initially going to go to the Titanic Exhibit at Seattle Center, but we've been wanting to do the EMP forever and we'll surprise Heather with it Saturday. Mary Ann and Heather hiked up Tiger Mountain on Saturday and it was quite as accomplishment for both of them (4 Miles). Way to go, ladies. They were certainly feeling it Sunday and yesterday. I did talk to my boss last Friday and she expressed that she s trying to get a > 10% increase in our salaries. We'll have to wait and see what happens this year.
February 17, 2001 - Mary Ann has been fighting her allergies (or cold) all week! I can't imagine it's an allergy, because it's been cold and snowing for a few days (I don't see anything blooming). Valentines Day came and went. I got Mary Ann 3 dozen silk roses, a 1/2 dozen dried roses, some dried branches, and designed a real nice arrangement for her. We've been pretty strapped for money lately. I haven't been picking up as many shifts at work as I'd like and those bills just keep coming on in. I think I have to bite the bullet and pick up some per diem at another hospital. It is really frustrating at work right now in that we've discovered that other hospitals' salaries are quite a bit higher and we haven't kept pace. They keep talking about a 5-7% increase this year, but that would be only a little scratch at the differences. Oh well, I need to do the computer stuff real soon and get away from this, I guess. Mary Ann should be home soon from work and we plan to go to Camper World and look for supplies for our tent trailer. I'm going to shop around for a tow package this week as well and get the van set up. I went to the doctor earlier this week and I'm going to continue with my present prescription. My blood pressure is still high (140/93), but it is much better. I need to start exercising and lose some more weight and that should continue to improve.
February 7, 2001 - I took Mary Ann out to dinner Saturday for her birthday. We went to Black Angus for prime rib and lobster. It was a pretty good meal, but I made a much better meal Sunday for her (thick pepper steaks, asparagus and mushrooms sautéed in garlic butter, crab salad, and homemade sourdough bread). Needless to say, I think I put on some weight this week. I am physically not feeling too well lately. My back has been killing me for about 2-3 weeks now. That combined with my lack of sleep has left me poorly motivated. I've seen more of my brothers the past few weeks than I have in years. These WebCams are great! I just hope we keep up with the communication. If you want to join in on the fun, download MSN Messenger and find me at cbteeg@hotmail.com.
February 4, 2001 - Happy birthday, Mary Ann!!!!
February 2, 2001 - I've been pretty lax the past 2 weeks updating the page. Mary Ann's birthday is on Sunday. I plan to take her out to dinner this evening (probably the "Black Angus", her favorite steak house) and tomorrow I'm making a big dinner for us. I haven't yet found what I want to get her. We've been pretty cash poor since Christmas and our credit cards are a bit high for my liking. I was looking at a pair of moisturizing gel socks, but I can only find them online and it's too late to order. I'll probably get her some flowers and some new guitar strings and lesson books. I have to get off my butt this week and find a computer certification program to sign up for. Work has been really draining me lately and I need to look for a change soon. I no longer get prescheduled overtime and It's really been hurting us (It's like a 22% pay cut). Last year you couldn't get anyone but 4 or 5 of us to work overtime, and now everyone seems to be grabbing a piece of the pie. I've been putting myself on call quite a bit and I've picked up a few shifts, but it sucks when you don't know if you're going to work a day or not. We were going to visit Nancy and Dave this weekend, but Dave is still hurting quite a bit :( . I hope things start getting better for him. Zephen has been having some troubles at his new school in Indiana and hopefully he and his dad can get him back on track. He just turned 14 last month and we think maybe his hormones are effecting him in a negative way.
