November 30, 2000 - I had gotten my lab results back from the medical clinic a few days ago and, good news, cholesterol is 170 (low) and everything else is normal. I've been measuring my blood pressure the past month and it's been running between 140-160 systolic, and 85-110 diastolic. I had a doctor's appointment this morning and he doubled my blood pressure medicine. We'll have to see if it helps. Mary Ann has come home early on both Tuesday and Wednesday and has been hit hard by her headcold. I go back to work tomorrow and I think I'm getting it now. I've been taking a lot of Zinc, using Zicam, and taking Echinacea. Let's hope it helps. I had a good visit with mom and she got home okay yesterday. Mary Ann felt bad that she was in bed sick while she was here, but we'll have a chance to visit with her again in the future. I redesigned a few of my pages today, let me know what you think.
November 27, 2000 - Happy Birthday, Jeff!! I hope your day is full of fun and joy. Mom and I just got off the phone with Jeff and he seems well. I picked up my mom from Marla's today and she'll be staying with us until Wednesday morning. I look forward to the time I'll spend with her. Mary Ann is really sick with either the flu or a big-time headcold. She says everyone at her work has it. She's really miserable 8^( . Mom is looking well and we watched a few movies tonight she really enjoyed ("Emma" and "Shakespear in Love"). I have to start thinking about setting up my Christmas page this year and getting some Christmas cards going.
November 25, 2000 - Wow, the year's going fast! I had several hard days at work. It wasn't the amount of work, it was the fatigue from little sleep that hammered me hard. We had spent Thanksgiving at Marla's and enjoyed ourselves quite a bit. Mary Ann and Heather went over that afternoon, and I left work early to get there around 6:30pm. Marla had invited a party of around 10-12 people and there was lots of food. I suffered through work that entire day, trying to avoid all the potlucks, but I had failed and really ate sparingly at Marla's. It was nice to see mom and I plan to spend more time with her this weekend and next week. Heather stayed the night at Marla's and had a lot of fun with Robert. She is really starting to grow up. Mary Ann attacked the stores early yesterday morning and got her Christmas shopping done for the kids. She actually went overboard and it looks like we will be living sparingly the next few weeks :^( With Mary Ann's promotion, we thought we would see a lot more income, but my overtime was cut in the schedule at work. I'll be losing 2 12 hour days a month and that's going to hurt. I really need to get back to school for computers.

November 21, 2000 - I loaded a BETA version of the next MS Windows this week. It is a step up from Windows 2000 and Windows ME and has a lot more security features in it than ME. I'm pretty impressed with it so far and this is only the first Beta (I'm a beta tester for Microsoft). We signed up for a home food delivery service and they were suppose to deliver a freezer today. I got my weeks mixed up and I guess they are coming NEXT Tuesday. Mom arrived last night and is staying at Marla's. Mary Ann and Heather are going over Thanksgiving day and I'll head over after work at around 7:30. I'm looking forward to spending some time visiting with everyone.
November 15, 2000 - I ended up staying home last night. Heather had a fever of 102 and was feeling pretty ill. She's a lot better today, but I kept her home so she could recuperate and get better. She and I played around this morning and I have now added streaming video to this site. I'll have to think of something to do with it, but we'll keep playing around and come up with something. I hope to add new and interesting stuff from time to time.
November 14, 2000 - My fantasy football team keeps rolling along. I once again won and am in the playoffs. I worked on the yard Sunday and today and got it cleaned and winterized. Heather is home sick with a cold and I feel it sneaking up on me as well. My webcam keeps clicking away ... I have to find something better to point it at 8^). I am going to be beta testing Microsoft's Windows "codename" Whistler (I did this for Windows ME as well). It's the next Windows upgrade after Windows ME and will be built on Windows 2000 code. I'm also going to the Microsoft campus tonight and doing a usability study. Just a reminder, my e-mail address is now cbtee@home.com . November 11, 2000 - Mary Ann had to work this morning, but we did take our dog for a long walk this afternoon along one of the great trails in our area. I talked to my brother, Jeff, last night. It was good to catch up with him and I'll have to make a point of calling more frequently. I also called a friend in Anchorage today. We tried to get our webcams streaming video back and forth, but he could only see us :^( . I plan to call again soon and try again. The weather has been sunny but cold. We had to bundle up quite a bit for our walk. Heather has a new boyfriend and wants to go on a REAL movie date. Mary Ann and I both told her one of us will be going along and she is so unthrilled.
November 7, 2000 - Woo Hoo!! I now have Cable Internet and I am most impressed. I downloaded a 17 MB file yesterday in less than one minute; talked to my mom, sister, and brother via long-distance for about an hour each; web pages JUMP onto the screen ... most cool. My Web Cam will now be broadcasting whenever I have the machine on, so you can see my ugly mug most days. My mom will be coming down for Thanksgiving and we are all looking forward to seeing her. Mary Ann met her new store manager yesterday and she's slowly getting a feel for her store. She's already planning her little touches to make it run smoother and remain cleaner. Heather brought a mid-term progress report home for her math class and is presently getting a "B". WAY TO GO, Heather!!
November 6, 2000 - Mary Ann started at her new store yesterday and is pretty excited about it. They gave her a few small going-away parties at her old store Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and she brought home a lot of flowers and cards. It's nice to know she is well liked wherever she goes :^) The cable guy didn't show up Friday, so I'm hoping they get here today and find this thing. I want to start making all those free long distance phone calls. From now on, my e-mail address will be cbtee@home.com . My old e-mail address, cbtee@foxinternet.net, will remain active until November 18th. My fantasy football team crushed my opponent once again this weekend. I am sitting at W9-L1 and I lead in total points by 120. I hope my good fortune will hold up for the next 6 weeks.
November 2, 2000 - The cable guy came out yesterday and set me up for cable Internet. Unfortunately, he was unable to find the hub for our house (normally a box above ground in your front yard, but could be flush with the ground as well). After looking around for quite some time, he gave up. They sent out a "specialist" today and he and I dug around for about 3-4 hours. He finally resorted to some hi-tech detection equipment that wasn't working, so someone else is going to come out Friday or Monday and try again. I now have a cable modem sitting on my desk and I am really looking forward to them finding this thing. We joined a food delivery service yesterday as well. This company supplies you with approximately 6 months worth of food; primarily frozen meats, pastas, and vegetables. They guarantee all their meat is aged, corn/grain fed, non-steroid and non-antibiotic. In addition, everything is vacuum sealed and flash frozen. We also picked up their monster freezer. We figured with Mary Ann getting her promotion, we will have even less time to prepare meals and we eat out far too much already. We will be using about 40% of our food budget on this, but we think in the long run, we'll come out ahead.
