Chris
Chris continues to work at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, as an ER and ICU Respiratory Care Specialist. He has been there since the summer of 1992 and, although still likes his job, is beginning to succumb to some of the stress and rigors it entails. He is presently involved in working on some new therapist driven protocols for patient care and combining that with his regular duties, has been pretty tired and run down as of late.

Chris is also exploring possible career changes and has begun looking into some MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) programs in the local area. He figures he is somewhat of a computer geek already and has been constantly rebuilding and debugging coworkers' and friends' computers as of late, so why not get certified and make a true job of it.

Chris has taken a liking to flying stunt kites this year and plans on building some homespun kites this winter. A good friend of his, Dave Kratovil, has also caught to kite bug as well. Dave is an avid back-country backpacker and boyscout leader, and the two have talked about some future camping adventures they have in store for the coming year.

Chris had an okay year for 1999. In the fall of 1998, he was tipping the scale at 226 pounds and was really feeling that extra weight. In a 3 month span heading into last years holidays, through dieting and exercise he dropped 34 pounds down to 192. Sadly, he let himself go after that and is presently sitting around 210 pounds, but vows to attack the weight machine, stairstepper and diet after the new year.
